* Hard reset or shutdown solves many problems relating to Apple mobility; it is the equivalent of rebooting a PC or laptop. Simultaneously hold the Home and Power buttons for about 10 seconds; ignore the power off slide, just keep holding those 2 buttons until the screen is blank.
